Introduction

This action sets the topic's status to Disabled, which causes Azure Service Bus to drop both publishes and subscriber receives on the topic.

The pre-attack status is captured during Prepare and restored on Stop — a topic that was already in a partially-disabled state is restored to that exact state.

Use Cases

• Validate that publishers gracefully handle a topic being unavailable (retries, dead-letter routing, alerting).
• Test how every subscriber on the topic reacts when no events arrive — lag, false-negative alerts, stuck workflows.
• Exercise the recovery path for downstream consumers after a brief topic outage.

Rollback

The topic's original status is automatically restored when the experiment stops. If the agent loses connectivity mid-experiment, the topic stays disabled until manually re-enabled.
